Projects and phases
Every project is split into phases — design, permitting, supervision — each with its own budget, hours, expenses and documents.

Write the quote under your own logo, email it and, once approved, it becomes a project and an invoice without retyping a thing.

Milestone billing
Set instalments as a percentage or amount of the fee — e.g. 30% on signing, 40% when the permit is issued — and the invoice is prepared as each milestone closes.

Time logging
Everyone on the team logs hours per project and phase; bill them at an hourly rate, or keep them to see whether a project is paying off.

Fees, copies, travel and outside consultants are recorded per project and, where agreed, carried onto the client’s next invoice.

B2B invoices move to a provider. Kronn Smart has one built in.
For businesses with revenue up to €1M, e-invoicing is mandatory from 2 November 2026 and, from 1 February 2027, B2B invoices can only be issued through a certified provider (or AADE’s own apps). Kronn Smart includes the provider in every plan, with no second subscription.

Frequently asked questions
Can I invoice a project in instalments?
Yes. Set payment milestones on the quote or the project, as a percentage or a fixed amount, and see which are ready to invoice. Each instalment is issued as a regular service invoice and the project keeps the full history.
How do I handle monthly contracts, such as supervision or health-and-safety services?
With recurring invoices: set the amount and frequency once, and the invoice is drafted or issued automatically every period, with an email to the client.
I’m a self-employed engineer. Does mandatory e-invoicing apply to me?
Yes, for the invoices you issue to businesses. From 2 November 2026 businesses with revenue up to €1M issue B2B invoices electronically too and, from 1 February 2027, only through a certified e-invoicing provider, whatever the size of your business. Kronn Smart includes the provider in every plan, and receipts to private clients are transmitted to myDATA as well.
How much does it cost for a technical office?
Kronn Smart starts from €10 a month + VAT, billed yearly, with the provider included. Projects, phases, time logging and milestone billing are part of the industry pack, included in the Grow (€15 a month) and Scale plans.
