Kronn ERP for Law firms

Invoicing software for law firms

Every hour, expense and advance tied to the matter — and invoices built straight from them.

In a law office, fees slip away in the details: an hour not logged, a court fee not recharged, an advance never offset. In Kronn ERP every matter collects its time, expenses and advances, and the invoice is built from them — through a certified e-invoicing provider, with transmission to myDATA. Per matter and per client, you see what has been invoiced, what has been collected and what is outstanding.

Built for your line of work

The industry pack is included in Grow and Scale.

01

Matters per client

Every matter with its number, opposing party, court and responsible lawyer — and all its finances in one place: time, expenses, advances, invoices.

02

Time tracking

Log time per matter and task — drafting, court appearance, meeting — with an hourly rate per lawyer.

03

Advances and offsetting

A client’s advance stays as credit and is offset against the matter’s next invoices; you always see how much is left.

04

Matter expenses

Court fees, stamps, service of process and travel are recorded on the matter and carried onto the client’s invoice, so nothing goes unrecovered.

05

Billing per matter

The invoice is built from the matter’s time, expenses and agreed fee — hourly or fixed — and you review it before it is issued.

06

Monthly retainers for companies

For corporate clients on a monthly arrangement, the retainer invoice is issued automatically every month and emailed to the client.

A month with Kronn ERP

  1. 01

    New matter

Open the matter and record the fee agreement and the client’s advance.

  2. 02

    Time and expenses

Each lawyer logs time and expenses on the matter the same day — not at month end, from memory.

  3. 03

    Invoicing

At month end or when the matter closes, the invoice is built from what was logged, offsets the advance and is issued through the provider.

  4. 04

    Collection

Every invoice carries a payment code and IBAN; with a bank connection, the payment is matched as soon as it reaches your account.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can I bill by the hour?

Yes. Set an hourly rate per lawyer or per matter and logged time becomes invoice lines. Before issuing, you see exactly what is being charged, so you can review or adjust it.

How do I keep track of client advances?

The advance is recorded as a client payment and, until it is allocated to an invoice, stays as that client’s credit. Each new invoice on the matter offsets it, fully or partly, and the account always shows what remains.

What changes for law firms on 1 October 2026?

From 1 October 2026 every invoice to a business must be issued through a certified e-invoicing provider — for a law firm, every invoice to a corporate client. Receipts to private clients are also transmitted to myDATA. Kronn ERP includes the provider in every plan.

Does Kronn ERP manage pleadings and deadlines?

No. Kronn ERP is invoicing and collections software: it holds the finances of each matter — time, expenses, advances, invoices, payments. Pleadings, deadlines and legal research stay in the tools you already use.
