The two phases

  1. Phase A

Businesses with gross revenue above €1,000,000 in the 2023 tax year.

  2. Phase B

Every other business that invoices other businesses.

What changes

  • B2B invoices are issued only electronically, through a certified e-invoicing provider.
  • The provider transmits each invoice’s data to AADE myDATA automatically and every document gets a MARK.
  • Commercial or accounting software alone is not enough to issue invoices: you need a provider.
  • Non-compliance can lead to fines.

What to do now

  1. 01

    Choose a provider

Or invoicing software that already includes one, like Kronn ERP, so you don’t pay for two subscriptions.

  2. 02

    Check your client data

VAT numbers, addresses and tax offices must be right. In Kronn ERP they are filled in from the VAT number.

  3. 03

    Talk to your accountant

About the declarations and deadlines that apply to your business.

  4. 04

    Do a test run

In Kronn ERP you try everything in demo mode, with nothing transmitted, and activate when you’re ready.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Who does mandatory e-invoicing from 1 October 2026 apply to?

Every business that issues invoices to other businesses and was not already covered by phase A on 2 March 2026 — mainly those with gross revenue up to €1,000,000 in the 2023 tax year.

What is an e-invoicing provider (Πάροχος)?

A certified service that issues electronic invoices and transmits their data to AADE myDATA automatically. In Kronn ERP the provider is included in every plan.

Is my current invoicing software enough?

Only if it connects to a certified provider. Commercial or accounting software on its own is not an accepted way to issue B2B invoices once you are in scope.

Does it cover retail receipts?

The obligation covers invoices between businesses (B2B). Retail receipts follow separate rules, which are worth checking with your accountant. Kronn ERP also issues retail receipts through the same provider.

What does the provider cost in Kronn ERP?

Nothing extra: it is included in every plan, from €10 a month + VAT billed yearly.
